Prime Day is approaching. Don't let a minor compliance issue cause you to miss out on the big promotion! This article summarizes eight key compliance actions that must be completed immediately to help you prepare for the peak season!

Below is a checklist of eight compliance items that must be completed before Prime Day:
✅ Account Health Score Check
✅ Investigate Zero-Tolerance Behavior Risks
✅ Product Quality/Returns/Details Page Self-Check
✅ Upload Valid UK VAT
✅ Match German VAT Name and Address
✅ EU Battery Registration
✅ Upload Energy Labels for Mobile Phones/Tablets (Effective 6/20)
✅ Submit UK IEN Number (within 60 days of arrival at warehouse)

Account health score is the pass to participate in Prime Day. Once the score is too low or cleared, the account may be restricted, products may be delisted, or sales may even be stopped, directly losing the opportunity to participate in the promotion and traffic benefits. Maintaining a high health score is the key to ensuring that the store operates smoothly during the promotion.

What is Account Health Rating (AHR)?

Account Health Rating (AHR) is one of the core indicators used by Amazon to measure the overall compliance and operational security of a seller's account.
This score is based on policy compliance and sales activities over the past 180 days (based on delivered orders, regardless of delivery channel or metrics).

Understand Your Account Health Score

Key Point: Sellers should regularly check the "Account Health" page on the seller platform and promptly appeal and resolve violations to ensure stable account operation.

During promotional periods, these serious violations, once verified, may cause the account score to be cleared instantly. Sellers are reminded to check the following list of common serious violations to ensure compliant operation.

Key Point: Remember the platform policies, stay away from counterfeit, infringement and brushing, and avoid affecting account security due to negligence!

If you receive a performance warning due to product condition complaints (such as quality problems, inconsistent descriptions, suspected second-hand goods, defects, expiration, inconsistent size and color, etc.), please pay close attention and avoid product delisting or removal directly affecting your big promotion plan.
To ensure your sales proceed smoothly, please refer to the following prevention guidelines to help you avoid risks in advance and steadily sprint to peak performance.
Key Point: As the saying goes, goods sell well, and the condition of the goods must withstand scrutiny! Take preventive measures to avoid buyer complaints about the condition of the goods!

According to the Finance Act 2018, which came into effect on March 15, 2018, sellers who are not established in the UK but store inventory in the UK or ship from the UK need to upload a valid UK VAT number to the Amazon seller platform within 90 days of generating UK local inventory, and ensure that the legal name on the seller platform is consistent with the name recorded by HMRC, otherwise their account sales permissions will be suspended.
If your UK VAT number registration is in progress, please submit your VAT registration documents to uk-vat-number-appeals@amazon.co.uk for an additional 30 days (total 120 days).
Please note that once an extension is granted, if you fail to provide a valid VAT number within the 120-day grace period, no further extension will be provided, and your sales permissions will be disabled.

If you are a producer of battery products as defined by the EU Battery Regulation, you need to register in each EU country where you sell and submit your registration number to Amazon through the battery compliance portal on the "Account Status" page of the seller platform.
If you fail to comply in time, Amazon will stop selling your non-compliant products in Germany, Sweden, Poland, the Netherlands and Ireland from August 18, 2025. Currently, France and Belgium can use the payment service, and Spain and Italy may also allow Amazon to provide the payment service in the future. Please pay attention to Amazon's announcements.

Note: According to the EU Battery Regulation, if you are not a manufacturer established in the country/region where you sell batteries, you must designate an authorized representative (AR) established in the country of sale for registration.

Amazon only provides service provider information resources and does not endorse any service provider or its services. If you choose a service provider, you will sign a contract directly with that service provider, and that service provider will provide you with services. Amazon is not involved in any transactions between you and any service provider and assumes no responsibility for any disputes between you and any service provider.

To sell non-food consumer goods in the EU, you need to register and upload valid EU responsible person information to meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR). When Amazon finds your EU responsible person information invalid, your related products may be delisted.

If you are a reseller, your supplier must first register your company or entity and goods under the name of the responsible person. After the supplier confirms that your company or entity and goods are on the approved reseller list of the responsible person, you can provide the relevant contact details to Amazon.
However, if your company or entity cannot be registered under the name of the supplier's responsible person, you must find another EU responsible person provider for the goods you sell.

The EU energy efficiency labeling regulation requires sellers to indicate energy efficiency and other information on product labels to help consumers choose energy-efficient products. Products affected by this regulation include tires, air conditioners, lighting products, electronic displays, washing machines, dishwashers, dryers, heaters, freezers, and refrigerators. From June 20, this regulation added smartphones, non-smartphones, cordless phones, and tablets. If you plan to sell related new products in the EU, you need to complete energy efficiency testing and registration and upload materials in advance.
Step 1: Energy Efficiency Testing and Registration
🔹Contact professional service providers or laboratories: Complete energy efficiency testing, register, and obtain compliant information such as energy efficiency labels and EPREL IDs.
🔹Promotional Recommendation: Contact the service provider using the code "AmazonAB2025" to enjoy a discount of up to 43%, see details in the EU Energy Efficiency Labeling Compliance Gift Package.

From December 28, 2024, the Radio Equipment Directive (RED) requires radio equipment to be equipped with a USB Type-C interface, provide a "charger not included" option, and display compatible power information on the website. Affected products include mobile phones, tablets, digital cameras, headphones, handheld game consoles, portable speakers, e-readers, keyboards, mice, portable navigation systems, and laptops (laptop requirements will take effect on April 28, 2026).
🔹Step 1: Go to "Account Status" > "Regulatory Compliance Page" to view products affected by the RED regulation
🔹Step 2: Upload the following information for the affected products 👇
①Device charging function (power parameters)
②Whether the charger is included
③If a charger is included, enter the ASIN without the charger
From December 28, 2024, sellers must add charging function labels (minimum and maximum power) to products, including the phrase "USB PD" (power delivery) (if applicable).
The graphic symbols must be printed on the instructions and packaging, or affixed as a sticker to the packaging. If there is no packaging, the sticker can be affixed to the product or the accompanying documents (requirements effective from 2016 still need to be met).
FHDDS (Fulfilment House Due Diligence Scheme) is a regulation implemented by the UK tax and customs authority (HMRC), requiring operating centers to verify the compliance of imported goods;
IEN (Import Entry Number) is the official import record number generated when goods are cleared into the UK, usually provided by a freight forwarder or customs broker.
From May 1, 2024, you must provide a valid import entry number (IEN) for all shipments to Amazon UK fulfillment centers (FCs). The reason code option "My goods have been imported, but my customs broker or logistics provider has not provided the IEN as required" will be removed. If you do not provide an import entry number (IEN), your ability to create new UK shipments will be restricted.
For shipments newly created on or after May 1, 2025, you have 60 days to provide or update the import entry number (IEN) from the date the shipment first arrives at the Amazon UK fulfillment center.
Please note: Shipments that enter from outside the UK and are first stored in a UK third-party warehouse before being sent to an Amazon fulfillment center are not considered UK local purchases and require an IEN.
